Eight SC.Net members are awarded Honorary Medals by the Chief Executive in the 2015 Honours List



Our warmest congratulations are extended to eight SC.Net members for being awarded Honorary Medals and one SC.Net member appointed as a Justice of Peace by the Chief Executive in the 2015 Honours List, namely,

Professor CHAN Cheung-ming, Alfred, BBS, JP is awarded the SBS in recognition of his long and distinguished public and community service, particularly in his capacity as the Chairman of the Elderly Commission. He has made significant contributions to promoting active ageing as well as developing strategic directions and service mode of elderly care.

Mr LI Tak-hong, MH, JP is awarded the BBS for his dedicated and meritorious community service in the past two decades, particularly in his capacity as the Chairman of the Wong Tai Sin District Council.

Mr NG Chi-wing, Stephen, MH, JP is awarded the BBS for his meritorious community service, particularly his life-long devotion and contributions to the long-term development of social welfare in Hong Kong, and the launching of new initiatives to promote the welfare of vulnerable individuals.

Dr LEE Ka-yan, David, MH, JP is awarded the BBS for his meritorious public and community services, particularly his contributions to the medical and health services, as well as emergency care.

Dr YUK Tak-fun, Alice, JP is awarded the BBS for her long and meritorious public and community service, particularly her remarkable contributions to social welfare service, and the development of social innovation and social enterprises.

Dr MA Ching-hing, Stanley is awarded the BBS for his dedicated community service, particularly his significant and valuable contributions to youth development and the Hong Kong St. John Ambulance Brigade.

Mr YU Hon-kwan, Randy, JP is awarded the MH for his outstanding and dedicated community services in Islands District.

Dr TUNG Sau-ying is awarded the MH for her dedicated community services in Kwai Tsing District, particularly her contributions to the promotion of community health.

Dr CHAN Tsang-fai, BBS, is appointed as a Justice of the Peace with effect from 1 July 2015.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to all the SC. Net Members for their concerted effort to build a cross-sectorial collaborative platform and mutual help network whereby our community can grow from strength to strength with more abundant social capital.
