CIIF’s 4th Picture Book to Nurture a Young Generation that Cares for the Elderly
In collaboration with the Education Bureau, CIIF proudly presents its fourth picture book The Caring Ten: Amazing Grandpa & Forgetful Grandpa.
With a rapidly ageing population and a longer life expectancy in Hong Kong, the number of elderly persons suffering from age-related diseases, such as dementia, will increase. There is currently no cure for dementia. Apart from the professional support provided by medical and social service organisations, we believe that everyone in the community can contribute to build a community support network by providing assistance to the elderly and patients with dementia. Therefore, themed “Amazing Grandpa & Forgetful Grandpa”, the CIIF’s fourth picture book uses lifelike stories and interesting illustrations to let the children to have a better understanding towards elderly and dementia so as to cultivate the concept of caring for the elderly from an early age and to work together to build an age-friendly society.
