Results Announcement of the Creative Micro-Animation Competition
“A Caring Hong Kong - Hong Kong Secondary School Creative Micro-Animation Competition” was held from January to May 2014. After public voting and professional assessment by the Judging Panel, the top 3 winners have been selected out of the 10 shortlisted entries with the results announced at the award presentation ceremony held at Hong Kong Polytechnic University on 30 June.
Champion:

Entrants: Yeung Yun Hing, Lo Wing Yan, Leung Ching Yin
School: Wong Shiu Chi Secondary School
Description: Why does a CIIF mascot have so many badges? How did he get his first badge? We hope that our animation could give you some hints.
1st Runner-up:

大喊包的手帕
Entrants: Ma Lok Hang, Jaclyn; Chan In Wai, Nikita
School: St. Rose of Lima's College
Description: Caring is felt all around in Hong Kong. A saying goes, "Help comes from all quarters when a disaster strikes." In our animation, the mascots join hands to get back a handkerchief, which fully reflects the spirit of mutual help in the community.
2nd Runner-up:

Entrants: Wong Ngo Hang, Ip Long, Yee Tsz Long
School: Lok Sin Tong Yu Kan Hing Secondary School
Description:A father and his son went apart for a minor issue some years ago. Three CIIF mascots help find the son who is made aware of the fact that family is the most precious gift we are bestowed.

Entrant: Sin Wing Sze
Description: When talking about caring, many people just think about the scenes at Hong Kong-style restaurants and wet markets, and then partially conclude that Hong Kong is no longer a caring community ... strange enough, right?
Merit:
Three of the competition judges, including Dr. Ricky Szeto, Vice-chairperson of the Promotion and Development Sub-Committee of CIIF; Mr. Samson Tai, Chief Technologist of IBM Innovation Network, Hong Kong IBM; and Mr. Adrian Kam, Chairman of the Hong Kong Creative Art Education Development Association attended the ceremony. The awardees shared their experience in producing micro-animations with CIIF’s 10 mascots. Dr. Ricky Szeto, Chairman of the Judging Panel shared his comments on the winning animations and encouraged students to keep on taking part in future social capital promotional activities!
