Project Objectives : With the collaboration of corporates, social welfare organizations, government departments, schools and families, the project arranged storytelling event in Discovery Bay and Tung Chung. It used "Storytelling" as an intervention strategy to attract more families to build up quality parent-child relationship. They also facilitated the interaction between the families so to develop more social capital and build cross-class and cross-generation mutual support community network.

"Family Storytelling-Neighbourhood Development Project" has been implemented and gathered a group of core volunteers including parents, teenagers and corporate volunteers. Through interaction and cooperation, friendship is struck up, and their self-confidence and ability are strengthened. Parents, teenagers and corporate volunteers are willing to participate in social capital development and forge mutual support network continuously.

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department Tung Chung Public Library, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, Hong Kong Resort Company Limited, Tung Chung Safe and Healthy City, kindergartens, primary and secondary schools in Tung Chung district and also collaborative partners are appreciated. With the participation from residents, government organisations, enterprises, families and schools, a community network is further extended, which in turn builds a caring Hong Kong.
