Rules and regulations

By participating in the “A Caring Hong Kong - Hong Kong Secondary School Creative Micro-Animation Competition (“Competition”), the entrant agrees to be bound by these rules and regulations. |

By participating in the Competition, the entrant warrants that his or her entries are original, have not been previously published, do not infringe on any third party’s rights, and that he or she has obtained all necessary permission from any third party, if required, for publication of his or her entries. Any entrant who is in breach of this rule shall return prizes, if any, to the oragnisers and indemnify the organisers (Community Investment and Inclusion Fund (CIIF) of the Labour and Welfare Bureau and IBM China / HK Limited) for all the damage or loss the organisers may suffer. The organisers reserve the right to take any legal action. |

Entrants must be students from local secondary schools and are required to provide Hong Kong Identity Card, student ID cards or any other valid documents for organisers to verify identity if any prizes are awarded. |

Entrants can join the Competition individually or in a team of no more than three members. |
5. |
Each entrant or team can submit one entry only. Each entrant or team who submits more than one entry shall be disqualified. |
6. |
Each entry must adopt at least one mascot of CIIF as the main character and “A Caring Hong Kong” as a slogan. |
7. |
Entries should not contain obscene, indecent, defamatory, insinuating, libelous or violent content. No disgusting languages or actions, or content that violates the law of HKSAR are allowed. |

Entry shall not contain any commercial promotion. |
9. |
Entrants shall ensure all files submitted are complete and match the requirements specified by the organisers. Otherwise, the evaluation may be affected. |

Do not submit incomplete entry or trailer. |
11. |
Entries will be judged on the number of votes received online, content, creativity and technical skills. All decisions by the organisers shall be final and binding. |
12. |
The organisers have the authority to revise, edit, use, duplicate or distribute wholly or partly the content of the entries in all promotional channels without obtaining the entrant’s prior consent. |

Competition results will be announced in May 2014. Winners shall redeem their prizes within one month after notification. Prizes shall be withheld by the organisers after the deadline. |

All cash vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash and are valid at specified merchants only. The use of cash vouchers is bound by rules and regulations specified by the merchants. The organisers take no responsibility on the rules and regulations of the vouchers and the quality of the redeemed products. Upon collection of prizes, the organisers shall not compensate for any lost or stolen prizes. |

Any personal data that may be supplied by the entrant will only be used by the organisers for the purpose of this competition. |

The organisers reserve the right to exclude any entrant and withhold the award of any prizes to any entrant who provides insufficient personal data and invalid documents for verification and any entrant who may violate any of these rules and regulations. |
17. |
The organisers reserve the right to amend the rules and regulations of the Competition without prior notification. |
18. |
Employees of the organisers and any supporting organisations and their family members are not allowed to enter the competition. |
19. |
In case of dispute, the decision of the organisers shall be final. |
