Critical Success Factor

The Disney has actively encouraged staff to participate in the activities of the project. Disney volunteers have made use of their own strengths to contribute to it. For example, performance team members teach Tung Chung parents storytelling skills and participate in the storytelling activities for children every month, while tree protection team members share the knowledge of environmental protection and ecotourism. The active participation of Disney volunteers has not only forged a mutual trust relationship with Tung Chung residents, but also encouraged more to be volunteers. In the second phase of the project, the Disney continues its support to the project and extends the service to the private housing estates in Tung Chung, so as to strengthen the networks of grassroots and middle-class families. The participation in the project has transformed Disney volunteer services from a donation culture to the model of making use of Disney’s own strengths and social capital building.
