Briefing Session on the CIIF 10th Anniversary Forum cum Social Capital Builders Award Ceremony

The celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the CIIF will end on a high note with the CIIF 10th Anniversary Forum cum Social Capital Builders (SCB) Award Ceremony to be held on 23 November this year at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Adopting the theme of "10 Years of Social Capital: Succession, Action and Transcendence", we will conduct topical discussions, workshops and project expo, etc. in a bid to consolidate, collate and exchange experience in building social capital, as well as explore and look into the future direction of social capital development.

The SCB Award Presentation Ceremony and the Forum will be held on the same night. The SCB Award Scheme aims to give recognition to individuals and enterprises for their contributions in social capital development in Hong Kong, commend outstanding CIIF-funded projects and share the achievements in building social capital in Hong Kong. An SCB Award Logo is specially designed for the awarded enterprises or organisations to use on their brand items such as name cards, publications, etc. Details of the preparation work of the Forum and the Award Scheme will first be announced at the briefing for the CIIF project teams.

The briefing will be accompanied by a training workshop on sustainable development. We have specially invited Dr. TING Wai-fong, the Associate Head of the Department of Applied Social Sciences of Hong Kong Polytechnic University and an SC. Net, to be the guest speaker. He will share with us the definition of sustainable development, overseas and local experience, CIIF's assessment tools for the sustainable development of projects, as well as the key factors and strategies for sustainable development, etc.
