Briefing for CIIF 23rd Batch Approved Projects

The CIIF Secretariat organised a briefing for the 23rd batch approved projects on 20 April 2015 at the Hong Kong Space Museum, which introduced to 13 approved projects’ teams the preparatory work on administrative, financial and outcome evaluation arrangements for launching the projects.

Ms Carmen Ng, Secretary General of the CIIF Secretariat gave project teams a warm welcome.


Training Workshop on “Planning Ahead for a Sustainable Social Capital Project”

After the briefing, it came to a training workshop on “Planning Ahead for a Sustainable Social Capital Project” which attracted an attendance of 120-plus participants.


With abundant working experience in the social service sector, Ms Irene Leung, CIIF Committee Member and Social Service Director of The Salvation Army, elaborated with specific examples on the key elements and strategies for effective planning of a sustainable project.

Mr Alan Fung, Senior Service Manager of Integrated Community Service Division, S.K.H. Holy Carpenter Church Community Centre, shared his experience in implementing the “Heart to Heart Healthy Community Project”. Although the project ended in March 2014, its core members have so far been active in promoting social capital in the community and, further, sharing their experience in other estates.
