“LIKE & SHARE IN COMMUNITY” Photography Campaign



The Community Investment and Inclusion Fund (CIIF) is organising “LIKE & SHARE IN COMMUNITY” Photography Campaign to encourage the public to appreciate mutual assistance in the community, as well as to promote the concept of ‘Social Capital’ and “Reciprocity”.

The general public is welcomed to capture photos that show the spirit of mutual assistance and match with the theme “Lend a Hand in Community” to join the Campaign by sending their photos to ciiflike@gmail.com by 28 February at 5:00 pm. Qualified participants will receive a CIIF 16G USB.

Submitted photos will be uploaded onto CIIF Photography Campaign Facebook page CIIF充滿人情味的基金 for public voting. Twenty outstanding photos which obtain themost LIKES during the voting period will be shortlisted and shown on CIIF website, CIIF Facebook page as well as in-bus TV. The 20 photographers will also receive CIIF special souvenirs as an encouragement.

Eligibility

Target: Hong Kong residents aged 13 above Participation: Individual
Topic: “Lend a Hand in Community”, capture photos that show the spirit of mutual assistance
Photo Requirements:

  • Black & White/ Full colour photo
  • Photos shall be submitted in digital format (in JPEG format) to ciiflike@gmail.com
  • Please state your name, contact number, correspondence address and the title of submitted photo (not more than 20 words) in email
  • The resolution of the photo shall be at least 5 megapixels and the file size shall not be larger than 3MB
  • Organiser may request for the raw file after releasing the campaign shortlist


Online Public Voting

Please submit your photo and required information from 1 to 28 February 2016 at 5:00 pm. Qualified photos will be uploaded onto CIIF充滿人情味的基金 for public voting during 7 to 31 March 2016 at 5:00 pm. Twenty outstanding photos which obtain the most LIKES during the voting period will be shortlisted. (If there are participants who receive the same amount of LIKES, the decision of the organiser shall be final.)

Rules & Regulations

  1. By participating in the “LIKE & SHARE IN COMMUNITY” Photography Campaign (the Campaign), the participant agrees to be bound by these rules and regulations.
  2. By participating in the Campaign, the participant warrants that his or her photos are original, have not been previously published, do not infringe on any third party’s rights, and that if required he or she shall obtain all necessary permission from any third party for publication of the submitted photos. Any participant who is in breach of this rule shall return the souvenirs, if any, to the organiser and indemnify the organiser (the Community Investment and Inclusion Fund) for all the damages or loss the organiser may suffer. The organiser reserves the right to take any legal action.
  3. The organiser may request for raw files for publication needs.
  4. Participants must be Hong Kong residents aged 13 above and are responsible to provide a Hong Kong Identity Card or any other valid documents per organiser’s request to verify their identity if their photos are shortlisted.
  5. Participants are welcomed to submit more than one photo. However only one submitted photo from each participant is eligible for the online public voting.
  6. Each submitted photo must include content that is relevant to the Campaign theme - “Lend a Hand in Community”.
  7. Submitted photos shall not contain any obscene, indecent, defamatory, insinuating, libelous or violent contents. No disgusting languages or actions, or contents that violate the law of HKSAR are allowed.
  8. Submitted photos shall not contain any commercial promotion elements.
  9. Participants shall ensure all photos submitted are complete and match with the requirements specified by the organiser. Otherwise, the eligibility may be affected.
  10. Submitted photos with the most LIKES will be judged based on the number of votes to be obtained during the online public voting period. All decisions by the organiser shall be final and binding.
  11. The organiser has the authority to revise, edit, use, duplicate or distribute wholly or partly the submitted photos in all promotional channels without obtaining any participant’s prior consent. The copyrights of all shortlisted photos belong to the organiser, and the organiser reserves the right to revise, duplicate or publicise in any form without the consent of the participants or the payment of fees of any kind.
  12. The Campaign shortlist will be released in CIIF Facebook page in mid-April 2016.
  13. All souvenirs cannot be exchanged for cash. The organiser takes no responsibility on the quality of the souvenirs. Upon receipt of souvenirs by the participants, the organiser shall not compensate for any lost or stolen souvenirs. Posting of souvenirs is available only within Hong Kong.
  14. Any personal data supplied by participants will only be used by the organiser for the purposes of the Campaign and for future educational purposes.
  15. The organiser reserves the right to exclude any participants and withhold any souvenirs to any participants who provide insufficient personal data or invalid documents for verification and any participants who may violate any of these rules and regulations.
  16. The organiser reserves the right to amend the rules and regulations of the Campaign without prior notification.
  17. Employees of the organiser and any partnering organisations and their family members are not allowed to enter the Campaign.
  18. In case of dispute, the decision of the organiser shall be final.
