Inviting Proposals for 16th Batch of Applications “Power of Resilience at Times of Adversity – Power up Families and Community” 9.11.2009 CIIF Forum – Keys to Successful Applications The financial tsunami which triggered a global economic crisis hit us in end-2008 and its impact is still going on. It is a time when we need, more than ever before, to re-discover our fundamental values, find strengths from mutual help, and work together to generate a greater sense of security in our communities. The CIIF is going to invite proposals for its 16th batch of applications from 1 December 2009 to 29 January 2010. The theme is to build up “Power of Resilience at Times of Adversity: Power up Families and Community”. New partnerships, innovative strategies and special cross-sectoral collaboration are encouraged for the development of mutual help networks that bridge people from different social strata and create new synergy and opportunities. Other social capital development proposals are welcome. Prospective applicants and collaborators with particular interests in this theme are cordially invited to join The Sixth CIIF Forum cum Project Expo to be held on 9 November 2009 at the Hong Kong Exhibition and Convention Centre. Special guests will be sharing personal experience, insights and professional perspectives in building tripartite partnership, developing new strategies for community building and youth development. Admission is free but prior registration is required. As capacity is limited, early enrolment no later than 30 October 2009 is advised. We look forward to seeing you at the Forum!
